West Ham eye Joe Hart loan bid

West Ham are planning a summer swoop for Manchester City’s England Under-21 keeper Joe Hart.

The Hammers hope to leapfrog Birmingham and take Hart on loan next season as a replacement for Robert Green.

Green, 30, has indicated he is considering his Upton Park future and may want to leave at the end of this campaign.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan helped secure Hart’s current loan spell at his old club Birmingham and is now using his Eastlands contacts to take Hart to East London.

Benni McCharty have put pen on the paper and signed with West Ham Utd

West Ham Utd have completed the signing of striker Benni McCharty from Blackburn rovers for an undisclosed fee.

A deal for McCarthy was agreed last week but the move was reported to have been held up by work permit issues.

However, the 32-year-old South Africa international has now signed a contract until 2012 and he said: “I am very pleased and extremely happy.

“I am looking forward to making up for lost time and I can’t wait to make my debut. All I want is to score goals.”

McCarthy also revealed he came close to joining West Ham from Portuguese club Porto five years ago and added: “The reason why I am happy that it has finally happened is because about five years ago I had a disappointing experience when I thought I was going to be a West Ham player until Porto pulled out and I had to go back.

“I would have loved this to be my first Premier League club. I went to Blackburn instead but West Ham kept on pursuing me and eventually I am here.”

Mido joins West Ham on loan until the end of the campaign

West Ham have completed the signing of Mido from Middlesbrough on a loan switch until the end of the campaign.

Hours after signing another frontman in Benni McCarthy from Blackburn, West Ham made a late move for the Egyptian.

The 26-year-old, who spent the first few months of the season with Egyptian side Zamalek, first made his name in England with rivals Tottenham.

“I am here to play football and to prove a point, definitely. I am very happy to be here,” Mido said.

“I had to sacrifice some things but this is a great club and I am sure I will do well here, hopefully.”

West Ham goalie Robert Green is beeing watched by Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti

Chelsea are plotting a January swoop for West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green following a series of below-par performances from Petr Cech.

With Cech off the pace, Chelsea have been alerted to the fact that Green has attracted firm interest from Sunderland and Aston Villa, who both want to do business next month.

West Ham are almost resigned to losing Green and have alerted staff to search for cover. Manager Gianfranco Zola feels reserve keepers Marek Stech and Peter Kurucz lack the experience to go straight into the Premier League.

West Ham looks at former Inter Milan striker Adriano

West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola is planning a shock move for Brazil superstar Adriano in an effort to halt West Ham’s slide towards the Championship.

Former Inter Milan ace Adriano, 27, is available on a free transfer from Flamengo after his 19 goals fired the Brazilian club to their first league title in 35 years.

He admitted: “I know that teams want me in Italy and England.

“I will take my time over a decision so I don’t make any mistakes.

“It’s not just about the money, there are other things.”

West Ham are in talks with Bayern Munich striker and World Cup winner Luci Toni

West Ham United are in advanced talks with the Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni about bringing the Italian World Cup winner to Upton Park in next month’s transfer window.

Two years ago Toni finished his debut season at Bayern as the Bundesliga’s top scorer with 24 goals. Yet, despite collecting 14 more in 25 league appearances last year – which allowed him to lead Munich’s scoring charts for consecutive seasons – in a campaign disrupted by an achilles tendon injury, Toni fell out of favour with Louis van Gaal, once the Dutchman became head coach in July.

Any move may be dependent on how soon Carlton Cole returns from injury.

Yet even if Cole does return over the coming month, Gianfranco Zola, the West Ham manager, may still move for Toni, with the club having engaged in talks with the player and his representatives for the past two weeks.

Cash strapped West Ham are now willing to sell their goalie if they get the right bid

West Ham are ready to sell England World Cup keeper Robert Green in the transfer window – if they get the right bid.

The cash-conscious Hammers will look to bring in money for Green in January and the word is out among potential bidders that he can go for around £4 to £5 million.

Green’s contract is running out and the club’s financial brains think that the time could have come to sell him rather than risk losing him or seeing the international number one buy out the last year of his deal.

The Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola insists West Ham will not be forced to sell Carlton Cole in the January transfer window.

“Carlton is an important player for this team, not only because he scores goals but also for his presence.

“I know Carlton wants to stay and is happy here. The club has no intention of selling him or any of our important players” Zola said

Carlton Cole is beeing linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United, but Zola insist that he will stay.
