Stoke City have signed Bosnian international goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Portsmouth.
The 22-year-old signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Potters shortly before the January transfer window closed on Monday evening.
The highly-rated stopper has switched from Fratton Park in a £3.25 m deal.
Manager Tony Pulis believes that he has strengthened his squad by acquiring one of the best young goalkeepers in England.
“Asmir is someone we have been tracking for some time and we believe that potentially he is the best young keeper in the country,” said Pulis.
